Known as the Gem of the San Juans, Ocras is green and lovely year round. The deep water around the island results in mild winters and mild summers and lush green forests of fir, spruce and cedar. Orcas is the largest of the islands in the San Juan archipelago and boasts it's the highest peak. Mount Constitution tops out at 2409 feet and is the centerpiece of Moran State Park, the largest state park in Washington State. While there isn't enough room to stock everything, EIS stocks over 1000 different items. And since EIS buys direct from Musicorp (a division of Fender Musical Instruments) and US Band & Orchestra Supplies, EIS offers access to over 40,000 different items which can be special ordered at any time.

Jack does stringed instrument repairs on site. Many repairs can be done the same day unless special parts are needed. The labor rate is $50 / hour and you are only charged for the time actually worked. Jack doesn't charge for watching lacquer dry.

Also, Jack has a computer controlled carving machine at his home workshop. Need a carved wood sign? Call Jack and discuss it. Jack charges $50 / hr for design and finishing time. The charge for Machine time is only $25/hour. The 14" by 22" sign shown on the left took about 40 minutes of machine time to carve.

These easy to assemble kits are ready for your custom finish and will teach you about string height, intonation and setup. Once you've built your own guitar you'll know the joy of making music on YOUR guitar.

For something fascinating there's also McNally Strumsticks. Advertised as "No Wrong Notes", strumsticks have a banjo-like sound with the ease of a mountain dulcimer. Beautifully made and simple to play, strumsticks are a regular part of EIS's inventory.

One of the great joys of building your own guitars is that you can built them any way you want. So in honor of a long ago Muppet Show and with the sole intention of being irreverent, Jack created this Flamingo Guitar. It has a through body neck, Steinberger Locking Tuners mounted in the body, a single Tele style pickup with volume and tone controls and a tone bypass switch and Hot Pink DR Strings. Fun! Plays pretty good too.

Want to join in the Ukulele craze? EIS stocks Lanakai Ukuleles in soprano, concert, tenor and baritone sizes. These well made, mid-priced instruments have nice bindings, geared tuners and are equipped with Aquila Nlygut strings.

EIS also stocks the Mahalo Electric Ukes. These soprano sized ukes are hollow bodied and resemble Tele and LP styles. The bridge mounted piezo pickups have an active control circuit with volume and tone controls.
